The"O" is for Obichukwu (Oh-bee-choo-koo), my middle name, which translates to "God's heart" in my parents' native tongue Igbo. I grew up in a community that undervalued cultural differences. But as I grew older, the very name that used to cause me shame became an anchor for my every move.
